Since 2013, Huayang has collaborated with financial leasing companies in China to establish a fleet for international dry bulk transportation. In 2018, Huayang obtained qualifications for operating both domestic and international trade vessels. The Huayang fleet, composed through bareboat charters, time charters, and ownership, includes vessel types such as HANDY, ULTRAMAX, PMX, and KMX. In 2020, Huayang entered the automotive ro-ro vessel business by jointly purchasing a second-hand car carrier with a domestic third-party automotive logistics company. In 2021, Huayang expanded its fleet by bareboat chartering the M/V Yu Peng, a multipurpose general cargo ship, from Dalian Maritime University. This diversification will continue with the addition of newly built timber carriers and ULTRAMAX vessels in 2024.
Huayang provides comprehensive transportation services for coal, grain, ore, fertilizers, steel, and automobiles, covering both coastal China and international routes. The global reach of Huayang’s shipping routes, combined with its strong fleet management and in-house seafarers, ensures a solid reputation and competitive edge in the market. Currently, Huayang operates 13 vessels with a total capacity of 700,000 deadweight tons (DWT).
Leveraging its full industry chain advantages, Huayang is committed to creating a shipping asset management platform that meets market demands. It aims to become a bridge between financial shipowners and ship operators, offering convenient one-stop services to financial shipowners. Presently, Huayang manages 25 vessels with a total capacity of 2 million DWT under its asset management framework.
