Overvivew
Huayang Training Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Training Center") is a subsidiary training institution of Huayang, specializing in seafarer training, shore-based personnel training, textbook compilation, and the dissemination of maritime knowledge. Located within the Ministry of Transport Cadre Management Institute in the east suburb of Beijing, the Training Center covers an area of 3,000 square meters, boasting a beautiful environment and convenient transportation. The facility is well-equipped and capable of accommodating the concurrent training of 300 individuals.
In March 2013, the Training Center passed the quality management system audit conducted by the relevant authorities and obtained the necessary qualifications for maritime seafarer training.
Since its establishment, the Training Center has embodied Huayang’s excellent corporate culture, prioritizing service and striving for progress. Its superior management and training quality have earned the trust of shipowners, the recognition of seafarers, and acclaim within the industry.
Faculty Strength
The Training Center boasts a high-caliber teaching team with a well-balanced age structure, outstanding theoretical knowledge, and extensive maritime experience. The teaching team primarily consists of experienced captains, chief engineers, maritime university graduates specializing in English, and professional foreign instructors.
To ensure the high quality of its faculty, the Training Center implements a sea-land rotation system, annually selecting outstanding senior seafarers from its workforce to join the training team. The Center maintains excellent cooperation with renowned domestic and international maritime universities, research institutions, and industry associations, conducting high-quality academic exchanges and inviting esteemed professors, experts, and scholars as advisors to enhance the theoretical level of the faculty. The Center actively arranges for its teaching team to participate in training and academic activities organized by the relevant authorities and regularly attends shipowner seminars.
This internal and external training and exchange mechanism enriches the team’s perspectives, broadens their horizons, and enhances their capabilities, providing a solid foundation and strong guarantee for high-quality training.
Teaching Equipment
The Training Center’s teaching equipment is state-of-the-art and fully functional. The facilities include a bridge simulator, engine simulator, ship high-voltage power station simulator, 3D virtual reality training room, ship intelligent simulation trainee station, electronic chart teaching and practice room, basic maritime safety training base, modern electronic examination room, multimedia training classrooms, and a maritime library, all of which meet the training needs of various shipowners and seafarers of different positions.
In the bridge simulator, instructors tailor the simulation to match trainees’ individual experience and operational abilities, selecting appropriate ship models (types and tonnage), routes, and ports, simulating different sea conditions, and gradually increasing the complexity of the traffic environment. This training enhances the trainees' ship handling skills, navigation experience, and understanding of relevant regulations, significantly improving their emergency response capabilities.
In the engine simulator, instructors create engine room fault scenarios based on the trainees’ work experience and practical skills. They guide trainees in analyzing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting faults using the main control console, ship power station, trainee stations, and other auxiliary teaching systems, effectively improving their professional skills.
In other practical training bases, scenarios simulate the marine and ship environment, helping trainees to better understand the seriousness of safe operations. The electronic chart teaching and practice room, modern electronic examination room, and multimedia training classrooms cater to various specialized training and seminar needs of different clients.
The remote online training platform provides trainees with more options and convenience for training and assessment.
