In response to the national strategy for green, low-carbon, intelligent, high-quality, and sustainable development, the Huayang Technology Innovation Department focuses on maritime technology research and application in the fields of clean energy, intelligent shipping, and pollution prevention. Collaborating with the Department of Water Transport, maritime academies, research institutions, and other departments, it injects vitality into Huayang's maritime business transformation. In recent years, the Technology Innovation Department has conducted feasibility studies on projects such as methanol engine technology for ships, remote auxiliary driving technology, maritime big data, pollution control technology for ship emissions, green ship coatings, and special-purpose marine robots.

Additionally, with support from the Department of Water Transport and Huayang management, and in collaboration with the National Meteorological Center, the department has independently developed the Global Meteorological Navigation System for ships, achieving "national ships, national navigation." This development broke the foreign monopoly in this field and contributed to ensuring the safety of the "Belt and Road" initiative, national shipping security, and serving the development of China's marine economy.

In the future, the Technology Innovation Department will continue to focus on incubating more forward-looking and feasible maritime technology projects, aiding Huayang in achieving specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative transformation and high-quality development.
