On June 27, the WHPS Board Meeting convened at the headquarters of Huayang Maritime Center in Beijing. Attendees included Mr. Neal De Roche, President of WPS; Mr. Jamie Wrightson, Vice President of WPS for Asia Pacific; Mr. James Li, General Manager of Huayang; Mr. Liang Tiancai, Deputy General Manager of Huayang; Ms. Zhang Xue, General Manager Assistant of Huayang; Mr. Michael Chen, General Manager of WHPS; Ms. Jenny He, General Manager Assistant of WHPS, along with other relevant representatives from Huayang.
At the end of April 2024, Carl Schou, President and CEO of Wilhelmsen Ship Management, visited the headquarters of Huayang in Beijing. The two parties exchanged views on cooperation in ship management and crew cooperation. During his stay in Beijing, Carl Schou was also interviewed by CNSS (China Shipping Service Network), where he answered questions about the advantages of Wilhelmsen Ship Management, crew retention, and compliance with IMO and EU decarbonization regulations.
December 22, 2023, the second-largest multi-purpose pulp ship in the world, the "GREEN RIO GRANDE," with a displacement of 77,000 tons, was delivered and joined the Huayang management fleet at COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., and set sail on its maiden voyage on the same day.
